Hi,
I have a similar issue with my Genie screw drive garage door. It hums for a few seconds when I press the button, but won't open. I released the door from the track and hit the button again and could see the chain moving. Nothing is misaligned anywhere and the door opens and closes fine manually.
Could this be a bad capacitor?
Please help.
